About Work

Leather culture among gay men
was born out of desire, insecurity,
and appreciation.
A desire to reclaim a perceived
idea of masculinity through the
appropriation of heterosexual
male culture.
An insecurity that was created by
heteronormative culture to confuse
homosexuality with preconceived
ideas of effeminacy.

An appreciation of the feel, look,
smell and sensation of leather
on skin, especially during sex. //
